SC Freiburg have been promoted to the Bundesliga following their 2-1 win over Paderborn. With two games to play, Freiburg cannot finish any lower than second (they have a five point lead over second placed Leipzig and a 10 point lead over third placed Nuremberg)
Freiburg were relegated from the Bundesliga in 2014/15, a disappointing result from them after finishing as high as fifth in 2013.
Third place Nuremberg will take on the 16th placed Bundesliga team in a relegation-promotion playoff.
