Vietnam turned on the style in the second half as they beat Indonesia 4-0 in their World Cup qualifier at the Maktoum Stadium in Dubai. It was the first time in 19 months that the country were in WC qualifying action, but they were comfortable winners, keeping their unbeaten record in the group and handing Indonesia their sixth defeat in seven games in the competition. No German team in Europa League Round of 16 2021 | Leverkusen & Hoffenheim knocked out in Round of 32
There will be no German team in the Europa League Round of 16 for the 2020/21 season after both Bayer Leverkusen and TSG Hoffenheim crashed out of the competition on Thursday night.
When the draw was made, both Bayer and TSG had winnable ties against Young Boys and Molde respectively. Leverkusen were beaten 2-0 at the Bay Arena, thus giving Young Boys a 6-3 aggregate win after the first leg had ended 4-3 in favour of the Swiss side.
Hoffenheim dominated, but had nothing to show for it in terms of goals and went down 2-0 at home (and 3-5 on aggregate)
